How Junk Removal Pricing Actually Works
"How much will this cost?" is always the first question, and the honest answer is: it's a flat minimum plus whatever you're adding on top. Here's how that actually breaks down, so you can get a rough idea before you even call.
Every Pickup Has a $165 Minimum
Any single item is $165, in and out, with no extra item fee. Add more from the list below and it's often worth doing while we're already there.
Individual Items Add To That
Bring more than one thing and each item has its own price, added together: mattress/box spring $70–$120, refrigerator/freezer $100–$150, couch/sofa $90–$150, washer or dryer $90–$140, large furniture $125+, tires $15–$45 each, hot tub $400+ starting, construction debris $100+ custom (see our full pricing breakdown for the exact numbers). If the total comes in under $165, you just pay the $165 minimum, so adding a second or third item is usually the best value on the list.
Garage, Storage Unit, or Whole-House Cleanouts Are Different
Once a job gets big enough that nobody, including us, really knows the scope from a phone call or a few photos, we switch to a free on-site estimate instead of a flat price. See our post on why we do a free on-site visit first for the full reasoning.
What Actually Changes the Price
Beyond the minimum and any items you add, a few things affect the final number: stairs and long carry distances add time and labor, and heavier materials (think construction debris versus bagged clothes) can weigh more than they look like they would. None of this is a surprise fee. It's just part of how the final price gets calculated, and we walk through it with you before we start.
